Gypsy Wind and Sea
Gypsy Wind began 12 years ago as vendors at music festivals and street fairs all over the western United States. We are vendors of wind toys, juggling toys and yard art for the young and young at heart.
You may have seen us at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Silverton Jubilee, Rocky Grass and Folks Festival in Lyons, CO, Blues from the Top in Winter Park, CO Telluride Blues and Brews and Moab Folks Festival; to name a few.
2008 and 2009 brought many changes to the business.
In 2008, Becky went on vacation to the wonderful small town of San Carlos on the Sea of Cortez. She went there to learn to scuba dive and wound up marrying her dive instructor a year later. As a result, Jim and Becky have moved to Mexico. They continue to be avid festivarians "up north" in the summer while exploring possibilities in Mexico.
Jim is a SSI certified dive instructor affiliated with Ocean Sports in San Carlos. He teaches "Discover Scuba" courses, which teaches the basics of diving so you can enjoy the sport while on vacation and then decide if you would like to pursue a full certification course. He also teaches the full "Open Water Dive Certification Course" or will finish off your training with your open water diving here in San Carlos.
The winds here are ideal for "kite boarding" and for kayaking with a parafoil.
