What an exciting summer we are going to have

Even though we are not going to be at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival we are really looking forward to the shows we are going to be attending for the rest of the summer. It is the first time in a couple of years that we will be going to festivals all summer. We spent a very cold, wet winter in Houston and have survived a very hot, humid spring there. I can't tell you how much we are looking forward coming home to our mountains, even though it means leaving our precious granddaughter for 3 months (not to mention her Mom and Dad). We are going to start out at Gospel Grass in Larkspur June 20-22 and then on to Silverton for the Folks Festival where we had our humble beginnings 5 years ago and where we always celebrate our wedding anniversary, 29 years and counting. The weekend of July 11 will find us at a fabulous new festival in Woodland Park, the Pikes Peak Folk Festival. It is going to be an amazing show of Celtic, Folk and Western music. Check out the lineup at their website, www.westernfolk.com. We will be going to Casper, Wyoming for the Beartrap festival and then on to Rocky Grass. In August we will be camping in Wyoming with Billy's family and celebrating our granddaughter Kalyn's 2nd birthday and then on to Grand Targhee in the Tetons for one of the most incredible festivals we have ever attended. We are really looking forward to going back. This is a must attend for bluegrass fans and the mountains are really impressive, also! Visit their website at www.grandtarghee.com. Check back here for reviews of the festivals and the music and hope to see you all down the road...........
